Spring has really sprung.

Spring time is here at last. Today it is 73 degrees and so very lovely out side. I moved all my plants to the studio balcony. Including the basil, spinach and lettuce seedlings I planted a month ago. I am glazing a new batch of work for the upcoming Art Star Craft Bazaar as well as the just added City Paper Trunk Show which is coming up super fast. It will be in Northern Liberties, on 2nd street in the brand new Piazza at Schimidts. 150 artists plus music, beer and food. The date for the Trunk Show is Saturday May 16th. Come out and help me get a little closer to buying that house.

I just unloaded a glaze firing of blues and greens. Look for new work soon in the shop

Thanks to everyone who bought dishes this week. I really might just get that house after all.

Plus I added the link to my Twitter in the side bar. It is a good way to keep connected to all the Philly ceramic happenings plus Etsy shop updates.

Art Star Yeah!!

So the first day of the Craft Bazaar was a rainy one but Sunday was beautiful. I am however so forgetful when it comes to taking pictures, I only managed to shoot a few of the booth and not very good ones at that. Ah well, many more opportunities to come for picture taking. I will say though my investment in a super dooper tent certainly paid off. Not a drop of rain got in on Saturday.

Perhaps I should mention that my awesome shelves were made by my amazing friend Tim Lewis of Tim Lewis Wood Working. They are a modified version of a design that Mike Davis made for Renegade last year. Thanks Dudes!!!

Let The Fun Begin

Green ware tumblers and small bowls

So after all that mold making the fun really started, as you can see I completely trashed my studio but I made a lot of dishes. I am preparing for two craft shows next month. The first is the Art Star Craft Bazaar at the very end of this month and the second is In Liquid's Art for the CashPoor
Mold Mayhem
I was excited to get to use some of the paper stencils I cut last week. All this work is in the kiln now bisque firing. I am going to Columbus OH tomorrow to visit some good friends and see the MFA show at OSU. I will take pictures and fill you in when I get back.Green ware dishes with stenciled slip designs
