Second Chances

So life is all about second chances right?
These shortie tumblers have been given another turn as mini planters in our bathroom. I think they look so cute. They were all a little busted in areas, glaze flaws and what have you. But now perfect holders for all my cuttings.

Belden Brick

So I finally got the containers I made at Belden Brick Factory last year all planted up. These are made of Ohio red brick clay that is heavy with shale and other rocks. I brought some of my molds (usually used for porcelain) to the factory, pressed the red clay into them and then built up and out. It is a once fire process so the decoration was limited to under glaze and some of the oxides they use there for labeling.

These succulents barely made the move from Ohio to Philadelphia but I am hoping there new home will revive them a little.
