The first work for APF


The
American Pottery Festival at The Northern Clay Center MN is fast approaching. These are the first glazed pots from all the work I made over the last few weeks.

Getting to be that time again


So one of my favorite plants of summer is deadly nightshade. I found these ones in North Philly while walking to my brothers graduation from Temple U. Soon these berries will be bright red or orange and I can never resist makings a few batches of dishes with this plant wrapped around. It is a funny thing as you really do not want to eat deadly nightshade....but it is so very beautiful. Stay tuned for the next edition of the night shade dish. Let The Fun Begin

So after all that mold making the fun really started, as you can see I completely trashed my studio but I made a lot of dishes. I am preparing for two craft shows next month. The first is the Art Star Craft Bazaar at the very end of this month and the second is In Liquid's Art for the CashPoor

I was excited to get to use some of the paper stencils I cut last week. All this work is in the kiln now bisque firing. I am going to Columbus OH tomorrow to visit some good friends and see the MFA show at OSU. I will take pictures and fill you in when I get back.Green ware dishes with stenciled slip designs
